Meet Grace Farms Cocoa Products. A family-run business of cocoa farmers and chocolate makers. Their passion for cocoa and coffee led them to specialize in crafting artisanal chocolate products, with a goal of showcasing the versatility of Trinidad and Tobago Trinitario cocoa to the world.
The company’s name, Grace Farms, was a nod to the grace of God, which they believed played a significant role in their journey to success. Initially, the company’s five-acre estate in Toco was purchased as a retirement plan, but they were unsure what to plant. Attending a permaculture course inspired them to grow cocoa and pursue courses in agroforestry, cocoa production, and chocolate making, where they learned through experience and many mistakes.
Grace Farms Cocoa Products takes pride in producing almost all their artisanal products in-house, from fermenting and drying to roasting and grinding cocoa beans. The company’s relationships and support from others have been essential to their journey, which has culminated in the launch of their first artisanal products, including Cocoa teas, Mocha teas, and Loose leaf teas in March 2021, followed by artisanal chocolates in August of the same year.
Despite having full-time shift jobs and family obligations, Grace Farms Cocoa Products is determined to maintain their business and family. Their inspiration for starting the brand was retirement planning, and their major milestone was taking the first step as entrepreneurs. Their advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is to be adaptable, have a vision, believe in oneself, and be unique.
For Grace Farms Cocoa Products, their brand is more than a business or a logo. It encompasses their image, artisanal products, advertising, customer service, and reputation. They hope to resonate with everyone and stand out by creating positive and lasting impressions.
Grace Farms Cocoa Products’ products can only be found in gourmet stores, emphasizing the exclusivity and high quality of their offerings.
In the end, Grace Farms Cocoa Products is more than just a business; it’s a family’s passion and dedication to their craft, their community, and their values.
