When Kristen Camacho became a mother for the second time, something shifted. Amidst the sleepless nights and toddler shenanigans, a new kind of inspiration emerged – one that would grow into a brand grounded in creativity, family values and a bold desire to fill a void in Trinidad and Tobago’s entertainment scene. Alongside her business partner and longtime friend Karrilee Fifi, Kristen co-founded All Kinda Ting – a brand rooted in joy, wonder and the belief that families deserve better, more immersive and thoughtfully curated experiences.

All Kinda Ting was born out of genuine observation and lived experience. Kristen, deeply inspired by her daughter Sienna, realised that the calendar in Trinidad was surprisingly sparse when it came to events that truly catered to families. It wasn’t just about face painting or inflatable castles – she imagined an atmosphere where parents and children could lose themselves in a full day of excitement, creativity and connection. Karrilee, a creative force in her own right with a background in events, music and talent management, saw the same gap and shared the vision. Together, they decided to take the plunge and expand the boundaries of what family events in T&T could look like.

The name All Kinda Ting is more than just a catchy phrase – it’s a promise. It speaks to the variety and vibrancy of the events the duo has curated. From live DJs and massages to balloon-making, tattoos, face painting, immersive games and even a marketplace, each event is a tapestry of experiences designed to appeal to every generation. Drawing on their experiences attending global festivals, Kristen and Karrilee have worked to bring that same sense of immersion, surprise and magic to the local stage. Their work under the umbrella of Mixx Tings – the parent company – has already made waves since its inception in August 2022 and All Kinda Ting continues to build on that success.

The journey, however, hasn’t been a full-time one. Both women juggle multiple careers in entertainment, events, music, sales and marketing. Kristen wears many hats – working with Scorch Radio and the TRIBE family while also managing events like Nuts for a Night and TOAST. Karrilee directs SOTU Events, runs Indie Valley and works in music A&R while managing rising talent Viren Neel. Time is scarce, but passion, grit and an almost infectious determination fuel their hustle.

Their first major milestone came in August with the brand’s debut event – a family-friendly bazaar that drew in a strong crowd and left attendees smiling from beginning to end. The response was clear: there was a need and they had met it. Since then, they’ve set their sights on expanding the calendar with annual Easter and Christmas events, starting with their upcoming Easter Bazaar on April 13th at the Normandie Hotel.

Like many entrepreneurs, Kristen and Karrilee have learned that success doesn’t happen overnight. Building a brand takes consistency, resilience and an unwavering commitment to excellence. They’ve also learned that how you treat people matters. With over 15 years of combined experience in entertainment, the duo has cultivated a reputation for expressing gratitude to the communities they serve. Their genuine warmth and appreciation have not gone unnoticed – suppliers, patrons and partners are often quick to support them again and again.
And when things don’t go according to plan, as is inevitable in the world of events, they’ve learned to pivot with grace. Not every event is going to be a hit, but failure isn’t something they fear. Instead, it’s embraced as a learning moment – a stepping stone towards something better. Every misstep brings them closer to mastering their craft and every success deepens their resolve to keep going.
For women considering entrepreneurship, Kristen and Karrilee’s story is a masterclass in vision, courage and dedication. Their advice is simple yet profound: do what you love. If you wouldn’t do it for free, it may not be the right path. They encourage aspiring entrepreneurs to explore through trial and error, to become obsessed with learning, and to surround themselves with those who uplift and inspire. Above all, they stress the importance of humility – treating everyone with kindness and respect opens doors and builds bridges in unexpected ways.
To them, a brand is more than a logo or colour palette. It’s how people perceive you. It’s the story you tell and the feeling you leave behind. They pour their creativity into every detail – names, designs, messaging – all carefully crafted to stand out and resonate. While a business is a functional entity that facilitates the exchange of goods and services, a brand is what people believe in. It’s what they follow, trust and return to.
In Trinidad and Tobago’s vibrant brand ecosystem, All Kinda Ting is carving out its own unique space. Kristen and Karrilee admire the local creativity and cultural energy that runs through many homegrown brands, but they’re also acutely aware of the importance of originality. To them, the brands that last are the ones who dig deep to create something truly their own, not merely echoing what already exists.
They’re building more than events. They’re creating memories. They’re giving families something to look forward to. And they’re doing it on their own terms, proving that motherhood, friendship and fierce creativity can coexist – and flourish – in the world of entrepreneurship. For any woman with a dream, their journey is proof that the spark of an idea, fuelled by love and belief, can ignite something truly extraordinary.
