At just 12 years old, Dalia Jack is redefining what it means to be a young entrepreneur in Trinidad and Tobago. Her brand, D Very CuteZ Boutique, is as vibrant, confident and creative as she is, a reflection of her bright personality, island pride and fearless approach to self-expression. What started as a childhood hobby of making playful accessories for family and friends has grown into a full-fledged business, offering handcrafted bracelets and motivational colouring books designed to inspire young minds across the Caribbean.

Dalia’s journey began when she first discovered her love for making “cute, pretty things.” From as early as five, she had a knack for creativity, turning everyday materials into sparkly expressions of joy. With unwavering support, especially from her parents and younger brother Hezekiah, she launched her boutique at the age of eleven. Now, even with the demands of school, she still fulfils orders on weekends, balancing her time with surprising grace and discipline.

Her brand isn’t just about jewellery. It’s about shining from the inside out. Dalia believes that every girl deserves to feel beautiful and confident, and she pours that belief into each bracelet she makes. Inspired by Caribbean colours and positive energy, D Very CuteZ is more than a business, it’s a message of boldness, resilience and youthful joy.
One of Dalia’s proudest milestones is learning to manage her own business transactions, including budgeting and saving through her personal bank account. Thanks to her mother’s guidance, she’s already handling her finances with maturity beyond her years, a rare feat at any age.

But it hasn’t all been easy. Dalia admits that things don’t always go to plan, sometimes a bracelet breaks or doesn’t turn out as she’d hoped, but instead of getting discouraged, she’s learned to be patient and persistent. She’s also discovered the value of kindness, customer service and believing in herself, no matter how young she is.

Her advice to other aspiring entrepreneurs is simple and powerful: just start. Whether you’re young or unsure, she encourages others to believe in their ideas, start small, stay positive and never be afraid to ask for help. For her, entrepreneurship is not just about making money; it’s about connection, purpose and spreading confidence and love throughout the Caribbean.

Dalia has a thoughtful perspective on what makes a brand different from a business. A business, she says, is about selling things, but a brand is about how you make people feel. It’s about your story, your message and what makes you unforgettable. With D Very CuteZ, she’s not only selling jewellery, she’s creating moments of happiness and empowering others to be themselves.
She’s also proud to be part of Trinidad and Tobago’s growing community of local brands. She finds it inspiring to see so many creative minds working hard, supporting each other and proving that great ideas can come from anywhere, even from a 12-year-old girl with a dream.

And when she’s not busy crafting, budgeting or studying, Dalia can be found at craft shows like South Market, Street MarketTT and TriniMarket, where she meets new people, shares her story and continues to spread her signature sparkle, one bracelet at a time.
