TRENDING WITH OUTRIGHT APPAREL

Meet Outright Apparel, an Online based store that serves women of the Caribbean with reasonably priced and high quality accessories delivered right to their doorstep or workplace. One quick trip to the brand’s Instagram and you will see trendy accessories for the modern woman in spades.

Owner Seanette Piggott says the name originated from her personal quest always be different and to stand out among others. “The name is geared towards always giving off the feel of dressing, accessorising, styling “Out …. Right”, because as we all know we can buy an outfit however how we style or glam that outfit is what makes the difference and at Outright Apparel even by its name we always aim to have our customers “step Out …. right “.

Seanette admits that she is in juggling mode when it comes to the business as she is a new mother. “As the owner of the store I have since stepped back a bit after having my first kid and delegated a lot, if not most of the important tasks of Outright Apparel However, I do still have responsibilities in the business, but my full time profession is now being a mummy! Juggling time with motherhood and business has proven difficult especially as I’m a stay at home mum but I’ve since delegated time and have been working towards scheduling my time and baby’s ever changing timing so I can get some measure of work done at home while taking care of baby.”

Seanette was inspired to start this business for many reasons. “Firstly, I have always had a passion for bargain shopping and found that Trinidad and Tobago was flooded with pricey clothing and accessories hence my pricing being affordable. Secondly, after being diagnosed with Lupus and Sickle Cell at the age of 15 I’ve found it difficult to stick to a routine as my health can be unpredictable, as such I built a business that allowed me to “make money while I sleep” so that I can afford my health visits and a healthy lifestyle. Thirdly, I always believed my sole purpose is to  inspire and be of help to others and by having this business and the services we offer it helps me to fulfil my purpose and help my many customers in whatever way I can.”

When it comes to milestones, Seanette cites the recent launch of her business app for Outright Apparel on the Android Play Store as high on her list. And the lessons learned as an entrepreneur revolve around being positive. “As a momtrepreneur one of the lessons  I’ve learnt thus far is to always look forward in the good, bad and indifferent as a positive outlook can always propel you forward.” Seanette also has advice for budding entrepreneurs. “My advice to persons wanting to become an entrepreneur is to make the step. If finances is the issue start with a preorder system but don’t ever limit yourself to what you can do.”

For Seanette, the unique parts of her brand are her team’s marketing and the brand’s website (www.outrightapparel.com) which provides a seamless shopping experience and our professional service of delivery regionally and locally within 24-48hrs.
