The Sun Express bakery has state of the art baking equipment. “The bakery prides itself on the fact that we use absolutely no preservatives, additives or softeners in any of our breads. Our bakers work 365 days a year. Every morning they aim to create delicious memories, They cream the butter, add the sugar and bake the cakes. On a daily basis you get the local traditional favourites such as pone, coconut drops, currants roll to exotic cakes such as Japanese cheesecakes, nutella mocha, chocolate mascarpone, lemon parfait just to name a few. We bake on average 75 items and are still growing.”
Operating 365 days a year 24/7 is demanding yet very fulfilling for the Sun Express team. “We enjoy what we do and we recognize that creating a comfortable environment for the staff plays an important role in the ultimate success of the organization. It also requires looking at the not so obvious what ifs. The world’s economy is volatile and this instability requires constant evaluation and reaction in order to be successful.In these challenging times entrepreneurs also need to work together to support each other’s brands and share useful information. For small and medium enterprises it’s a matter of survival and we all stand a better chance by working together rather than apart.”
