In the heart of Trinidad and Tobago, where culture, creativity and Caribbean resilience converge, a beauty brand is quietly rewriting the rules of self-care, one thoughtfully curated product at a time. MaraBelle Beauty TT isn’t just an online shop; it’s a labour of love, a passion project turned purpose-driven business and a reflection of a woman who understands that true beauty starts with care, care for your skin, your soul and your sense of self.

At first glance, MaraBelle Beauty TT is your one-stop shop for authentic and affordable skincare, makeup and fragrances. But once you dive a little deeper, you’ll realise it’s so much more. It’s a brand built for women by a woman who gets it, the constant juggling act of work, family, self and everything in between. Beauty isn’t a vanity project here. It’s a ritual, a reclaiming of time and peace and confidence. “Women have a lot of upkeep,” the founder shares. “Our hygiene and self-care regimens can add up quickly.” She isn’t wrong and that’s exactly why MaraBelle was born: to make self-care affordable and accessible, without sacrificing quality or authenticity.

The name ‘MaraBelle’ holds special meaning. It’s a sentimental spin on Marabella, the town where she and her partner started their lives together. Marabella means “beautiful sea” a poetic nod to the fluid, calming, restorative nature of beauty when it’s done right. “Belle” adds the perfect feminine touch, meaning beautiful girl. Together, the name reflects a brand rooted in love, intention and a very real dream, to one day open their first storefront right in Marabella. “Coming full circle like that would mean everything,” she says.

What makes MaraBelle especially inspiring is how it’s powered by partnership. The founder and her partner Michael, whom she affectionately calls the “CEO of Logistics” run the business while balancing full-time jobs. She’s a registered nurse, he’s a Master Barber with over 30 years experience and they both bring prior entrepreneurial experience to the table. It’s a true team effort. She handles marketing, bookkeeping and customer service while he manages inventory, order dispatch and all things operations. Their hustle is real, their commitment unwavering.

MaraBelle was sparked by frustration and fuelled by vision. After discovering Korean skincare through her niece, a beauty consultant in the US, she was amazed at how transformative the products were for her skin. But when she broke one of her favourite serums, she couldn’t find it anywhere locally at a reasonable price. That moment, of feeling stuck between quality and cost, lit a fire in her. She knew there had to be a way to bring these kinds of premium products to local women at prices that made sense. With that mission in mind, MaraBelle began to take shape.
One of the brand’s most emotional moments came with their very first website order. “I started crying,” she says, laughing now at how overwhelming and validating that experience was. And yet, it’s only the beginning. From stocking products at Pink Box Beauty Bar, a spa run by her friend Kendra that also serves as MaraBelle’s pickup location, to her growing product range and plans for more pop-ups like Madam Glam Expo, the brand continues to expand in beautiful, organic ways.
But perhaps the most impressive part of the MaraBelle journey is the strong network that surrounds it. The founder speaks glowingly of her circle of business besties, women who lift each other up and trade ideas like currency. There’s Kat from Akwabaa Bijou, who is a constant source of marketing inspiration. KelliAnn of Kay’s Paper Corner helped register the business. Each connection adds another thread to the tapestry of support, empowerment and shared success.
For her, community isn’t just important, it’s essential. “I believe in keeping a solid network of entrepreneurs as friends,” she says. It’s this collective mindset that has helped her navigate the ups and downs of business ownership. Because the truth is, entrepreneurship isn’t glamorous. It’s late nights, self-doubt, big dreams and small wins. But as she puts it, “Love what you do. There will be days you want to give up, but the love will keep you going.” That mindset, the resilience wrapped in heart, is what defines MaraBelle at its core.

She’s passionate about branding too, and she articulates it perfectly: “A business is what you do. A brand is how you do it.” That means the logo colours, the product packaging, the unboxing experience, everything matters. Every touchpoint is an opportunity to leave a lasting impression, to tell your story without saying a word. That’s why she’s so excited by the brand awareness boom happening in Trinidad and Tobago. Customers now have more options than ever, and they’re more intentional about where they spend their money. That shift excites her. It means people are paying attention, not just to what a brand sells, but to who they are.
Looking ahead, the vision for MaraBelle Beauty TT is clear: to continue growing, to keep showing up with integrity and to always make beauty feel like something every woman can access and enjoy. And it all comes back to the why. Self-care is not selfish. It’s survival. It’s restoration. It’s power. With each product she handpicks, each package she lovingly prepares, each customer she makes feel seen, she is reminding women to pour back into themselves.
MaraBelle Beauty TT is a testament to what happens when love meets purpose, when hustle meets heart, and when a woman decides that beauty belongs to everyone.
