From Pain to Purpose: Gabriella’s Double Impact Solutions Champions Faith, Healing and Growth

Gabriella’s Double Impact Solutions is more than a business; it is a calling realized. At its core, the brand is about helping people navigate life’s complexities with both professional counselling and intentional mentorship. The approach is holistic, grounded in faith for those who desire it and deeply committed to personal transformation. Gabriella, the founder, CEO and Chief Counsellor, brings a blend of emotional insight, spiritual conviction and practical strategy to every client interaction. She believes that true healing and empowerment require more than just one method, and so she has woven together two powerful avenues, counselling and mentorship, into one unified, life-changing service.

The name of the business is as intentional as its mission. Gabriella put her name at the front of it because the brand reflects her deeply personal journey and professional identity. “Double Impact” speaks to the powerful synergy she has cultivated between emotional healing and purposeful growth. For Gabriella, it was never about just talking through problems; it was about equipping individuals with the tools and strategies needed to move forward. That’s why “Solutions” rounds out the name, to signal that this isn’t a space for endless talk, but for real change and tangible outcomes.

Running the business full-time is a responsibility Gabriella does not take lightly. Although her work is client-driven and therefore varies in pace, she embraces both the quiet and the chaos. This isn’t just a job for her, it’s the very beat of her heart. And like so many women juggling multiple roles, Gabriella is a mother, a wife, a friend and a professional. Balancing all of that comes with its own set of challenges, especially for someone in a helping profession. Holding space for others requires her to also carve out time for herself, honouring her own limits while still showing up fully for those who depend on her guidance.

The journey to entrepreneurship was not a linear one. Gabriella’s professional foundation was laid through her work in social services, later expanded with a Master’s degree in Christian Counselling. But the defining moment that pushed her to step fully into her own practice came in early 2024, when she had a deeply disheartening encounter with systemic nepotism. That experience was painful, but also clarifying. Rather than shrink back, she made a bold decision to create the space she knew was missing, one where people could be seen, heard, guided and uplifted without compromise. By the end of 2024, Gabriella’s Double Impact Solutions had officially launched.

In just a short time, the brand has celebrated several meaningful milestones. The business was formally registered in October 2024, with its official launch following in November. Alongside the launch came the activation of a Google Business Profile and a professional website, laying a strong digital foundation. One of Gabriella’s proudest achievements is the introduction of her hybrid service model, combining both counselling and mentorship. Previously offered as two separate services, she saw the need to integrate them into a more powerful, cohesive offering. In early 2025, the Launchpad Package was introduced, a 10-week programme that blends both streams to support youth development. Her first official youth client completed the programme and received a Certificate of Participation, reflecting Gabriella’s belief in recognising effort and growth. That same year, she facilitated her first corporate grief support session, expanding her reach into organisational wellness. Gabriella is also co-hosting Season 3 of the series “Breaking out of Depression” with Minister and Life Coach Andy Charles. The programme brings together voices from across fields and borders, offering tools and insights to those navigating emotional and mental health challenges.

Being an entrepreneur has taught Gabriella lessons she never expected. The journey is demanding, planning, promoting, strategising, adapting, but it also reveals strengths one didn’t know they had. One key lesson for her was that, no matter how passionate or capable you are, you cannot do it all alone. She learned to let go of the need to control every detail and began inviting others into her process, those with skills and expertise in areas where she needed support. That openness to collaboration has only strengthened the brand.

To anyone considering the entrepreneurial path, Gabriella’s advice is clear: just start. It’s easy to overthink, to doubt, to wait for the perfect moment, but perfection is a myth. She encourages dreamers to take that first step, however small. In her own journey, clarity came after she committed to the vision. Resources appeared, support showed up, and opportunities aligned, all because she moved in faith. The road will not be without obstacles, but every step will stretch you, grow you and bring you closer to your purpose.

Gabriella sees branding not just as a visual identity, but as an emotional imprint. A brand, in her eyes, is how people feel when they encounter your work. It’s the story you tell through your actions, your presence and your impact. While a business keeps the engine running through services, systems and value delivery, the brand is what people remember. It’s the emotion, the connection and the reason they choose you over others.

She is passionate about the branding landscape in Trinidad and Tobago, though she expresses concern about the challenges local entrepreneurs face. In her view, there are too many homegrown brands that are overlooked, dismissed or undervalued. There’s a persistent mindset that foreign equals better, which limits the support available to local businesses. She also points out a cultural resistance to supporting familiar faces, friends, family, neighbours, opting instead to lift up strangers. For Gabriella, this is a dynamic that must change if the entrepreneurial ecosystem is to truly flourish.

Although she has not yet participated in any markets or hosted pop-ups, it’s high on her priority list. She envisions Gabriella’s Double Impact Solutions engaging the public more directly through community events, mental health awareness initiatives and collaborative spaces where people can learn about the services and connect face-to-face.

Gabriella’s Double Impact Solutions is more than just a brand; it is a movement grounded in faith, fuelled by purpose and committed to healing. Every service offered is shaped by empathy, strategy and a deep desire to see individuals thrive. The journey has only just begun, but Gabriella’s vision is steadfast. With each client served and every milestone achieved, she is proving that meaningful, faith-led impact is not just possible, it’s powerful.
